Terms of Service
Effective August 28, 2026
The agreement
These terms govern your use of SignupSavant, a volunteer signup scheduling service. By creating an account or signing up for an event, you agree to them. If you are using SignupSavant for an organization, you confirm you have authority to bind that organization.
Accounts
- You must be at least the age of majority where you live to create an organizer account.
- Keep your credentials to yourself; you are responsible for activity on your account.
- Give us accurate information, including a working email address — it is how we reach you about billing and service changes.
Volunteers
Signing up for an event requires no account. By signing up you agree to receive emails about that event (confirmation, reminders, changes). Text reminders are sent only if you separately opt in, and reply STOP stops them — see the Privacy Policy for the full consent model.
Acceptable use
You may not use SignupSavant to:
- Run events that are unlawful or that facilitate harm to others.
- Collect volunteer information for any purpose other than running the event they signed up for — no marketing lists, no resale.
- Send spam, or use the API to scrape, overload, or interfere with the service.
- Misrepresent who you are or who your organization is.
We can suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules. Where practical we will warn you first; for abuse that harms volunteers or the service, we will not.
Your content
Events, descriptions, and volunteer lists are yours. You grant us the license needed to host, display, and deliver them — running signup pages, sending the reminder emails, generating QR codes. We claim no other rights to your content.
Plans and billing
- The Free plan is free, with the limits published on the pricing page.
- Paid plans bill monthly or annually through Stripe. You can cancel anytime; paid features continue to the end of the period you paid for.
- Downgrading stops paid features (such as SMS reminders and branding removal) when the paid period ends.
- Prices can change; existing subscribers get email notice at least 30 days before a change affects them.
- Nonprofit plans require verification, and we decide verification in good faith based on the documentation you provide.
The AI event builder
The AI builder turns your description into an event draft. Review what it creates — you are responsible for the accuracy of your published events, including dates, times, and capacity, however they were built.
Availability and disclaimers
SignupSavant is provided as-is. We work to keep it fast and available, and we take daily backups, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service or zero data loss, and we disclaim implied warranties to the extent the law allows. Do not use SignupSavant as the only record of something you cannot afford to lose — export your volunteer lists for critical events.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for what organizers do with volunteer information outside the service.
Termination
You can stop using SignupSavant and ask us to delete your account at any time. We can terminate accounts for violations of these terms, and we can discontinue the service with at least 30 days' notice, during which you can export your data.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which SignupSavant's operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
Changes and contact
If these terms change materially, organizers get email notice before the changes take effect; continuing to use the service after that is acceptance. Questions: support@signupsavant.com.
