Developers & AI agents
Let your AI agent run the signup sheet
A REST API and a hosted MCP server, so Claude or your own code can create events and register volunteers. Included on every plan, Free too.
Authentication
Create an API key in Settings → API keys after you sign up. Send it on every request:
Authorization: Bearer ss_your_key_hereKeys are stored only as hashes and shown once. Free accounts get 2 keys at 60 requests/minute; Premium 5 at 300/minute; Pro and Nonprofit 25 at 600/minute. Registering volunteers is unlimited on every plan; creating events counts toward the monthly event-build allowance (Free: 2).
MCP server (recommended for Claude)
Connect any MCP client over HTTP at https://signupsavant.com/api/mcp with your API key. In Claude Code:
claude mcp add --transport http signupsavant https://signupsavant.com/api/mcp \
--header "Authorization: Bearer ss_your_key_here"| Tool | What it does |
|---|---|
| list_events | List the organization’s events |
| get_event | Event details, slots, and signup counts |
| create_event | Create an event from a plain-language prompt or structured fields |
| add_time_slot | Add a shift to an event |
| register_signup | Sign a volunteer up for a slot |
Then just ask: “Set up a park cleanup this Saturday 9 to noon for 25 volunteers and give me the signup link.”
